Karen Tillison is a California-based landscape photographer.  In recent years, she photographed in and around the Sierra Nevada mountains in California where she lived at the time, and then she started traveling overseas.

Her first international trips were in 2001, first to Africa on a safari and then to Egypt where a whole new world of photography opened up for her.  At this time, landscape photography took a backseat, and she turned to photographing the people and their cultures.  Karen has spent over two decades traveling and photographing on all seven continents.
